David Delamare was born in Leicester, UK, but has spent most of his life in Portland, Oregon. Interesting fact: though he likes to travel, he has never driven a car!

His website also features a beautiful fairy art gallery. David Delamare has illustrated ten books, including three original stories. The complete list of his works are available online.

Most often, the artist uses acrylic for underpainting and oil for detailing. He allows the painting to dictate the medium.

The one medium he never uses is the computer.
