warrior sketch, pencil

Lady Ravenna

Andrew Cryer is a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi art of all kinds, who tries to draw both with only a pencil and a huge eraser. “It’s a tough job,” is what he has to say about that.

This piece was drawn for a friend, Lady Ravenna being her DAoC (Dark Age of Camelot, an online game) ‘toon’. The artist portrayed her as a young cleric of some sort, out in the field, and most likely lost.

Influences include Larry Elmore, Luis Royo, and traditional Gothic, Germanic and Roman art. Andrew is 31 years old, and does art as a sideline (although he would love it as a career). His gallery has great life-drawing pieces.
