Den Beauvais has been a professional freelance artist since 1980. He was born in 1962, and won his first art award when he was 7 years old.

His persistence paid off; he got his first real publication in 1980 (a cover art for Dragon magazine). The artist is best known for his cover art on books, magazines/comics, and game boxes.

Instead of listing the publications he’s had, Den decided to take a large snapshot as a cool visual showcase. Den currently lives in Southern California with his wife, Betsy. They were married at the famous “Little White Chapel” in Las Vegas in 2005.

This week is a rather Draconic week for me, I don’t know why. I spent quite some time collecting and adding dragon animated gifs on a new page.

Anyway, this is one of my favourite dragon pictures. Nobody seems to have any idea who the artist of this digital piece is. If you know who created this — or if YOU are the artist, and you just so happen to have stumbled upon this — please kindly let me know, so that the proper credits can be given!

I found it in someone’s online art gallery (which I can’t locate right now). However, it was more a collection of “favourite pictures”, rather than original artwork of the owner of the account, which is why I didn’t take down the URL.

The only clue is a logo of some sort, and the year “2000″ by the bottom left of the image.
