Fairy & Unicorn
My apologies. Again this is a painting whereby the artist’s name is not mentioned (but the image is so nice…). I’ll keep on the lookout. It’s a lot of work trying to identify the creator of a piece of artwork, but well worth it.
If you know the artist’s name, please do not hesitate to drop me a note.
PS: I still haven’t figured how to shorten the amount of favourites/bookmarks saved on my Firefox browser.
Unicorn Quotes
Now I will believe that there are unicorns…
~ William Shakespeare, The Tempest
A wise man never plays leapfrog with a unicorn.
~ Tibetan proverb
What are the four Intelligent Creatures?
The unicorn, the phoenix, the tortoise, and the dragon.
~ Traditional Chinese Saying
“But dreams are real, too … [and] this reality is the unicorn’s terrain.”
~ Josephine Bradley, In Pursuit of the Unicorn
Jill had, as you might say, quite fallen in love with the Unicorn. She thought — and she wasn’t far wrong — that he was the shiningest, delicatest, most graceful animal she had ever met: and he was so gentle and soft of speech that, if you hadn’t known, you would hardly have believed how fierce and terrible he could be in battle.
~ C. S. Lewis, The Last Battle
