/* VS in title = visitor’s submission [I like numbers and that other VS (victoria’s secret) too]
Gordon van Vliet is a fine oil painter from Rochester, New York. He strives to paint in a manner similar to Sargent, Sorolla, Keiser, and Jurick.
1. Angelina
“The model was fun and easy to paint, with a great pose and youthful personality.”

2. Castles Made of Sand
The artist building sandcastles at the beach (Sauble Beach, Ontario — quiet and little has changed over time).

3. Finally Summer
“Painted at Turning Point Park in Rochester in the woods at eventide.”
Gordon’s main emphasis is painting figure/portrait work, combining subject and setting to evoke a sense of vibrancy in the human experience.
He paints at least one painting a week (sometimes daily). Artwork is sold upon inquiry.
Gordon recently purchased a custom picture framing store. Along with Michael Burdick, a master framer and restorer, the duo has 50 years combined experience in the business of arts and crafts. They look forward to building The Framing Edge into something truly special.
