3d fantasy art

1. Galactic Traveller

“Although the land itself is incredibly beautiful, it is the skyscape that lures one to marvel at the explosion of stars that wheel above.”

Jurgen Ziewe has a passion for digital fantasy art. He has been creating them since 1986, with the advent of computers being able to generate print-worthy graphics.

Dreamscreen is his art site which has wallpaper for downloading (at a small cost — $1-$3). Each purchase is a top-quality original, by an artist who occupies the top 5% of the 3d art field.

New Territories, a book on Jurgen Ziewe’s work, was one of the first books on 3d fantasy art. It was published in 1997. He has also created the cover art for several science fiction books, and other publications such as Reader’s Digest.

The two images here are from the freebies section of Dreamscreen (the rest are available for viewing only, or downloading). The galleries are full of dreamscapes, powerful archetypes, and galaxies of light and magic.
