Christian “Tigaer” Hecker is from Germany. He specializes in digital artwork — landscapes, to be specific.

Tigaer has always loved wide open terrains. It’s been his dream to live in the future, to visit alien planets, and wonder at their surfaces/landscapes.

In mid 2005, the artist created a piece titled Artificial, which he considers to have made clear that he reached a professional level. He used “a pretty weird technique” to create the picture, which took 8 weeks to completely finish.

‘Tigaer’ comes from a friend’s cat that was called ‘tiger’, pronounced as ‘tigär’. Instead of the german letter ‘ä’, Christian decided on ‘ae’, which is somewhat similar, and more international.

Tigaer-Design.com also features a mad range of wallpapers.
