1. Venus

“Venus symbolizes the power of the feminine in an exalted state. The symbol of Venus represents, beauty, love and compassion.”

2. The Mermaid and the Mirror

“I wanted to convey a mermaid that gives a sense of freedom, how you feel when you go swimming in the ocean.”

3. Lighting the way Home

“This painting is about a young Unicorn that becomes lost in the mystical forest. Thankfully he meets a kind travelling fairy who’s happy to guide him home before dark.”

Susan Rodio is a painter from Sydney, Australia. Her works are hand painted using acrylic paint on canvas.

After high school, Susan completed a 3-year Diploma of Fine Arts. She majored in Studio Painting but it also gave experience in Etching, Black and White Photography and Sculpture.

In her work, the artist enjoys bringing forth something magical and spiritual, along with elements of the unseen realm.

Susan is greatly inspired by Nature, mythology, astrology, spirituality, archetypal imagery, and symbolism. Art is truly a way to connect to her higher self through colour — and seeing an image come to life from the initial vision, to the final result.
